LC250 Skid Plate System overview

The LC250 series aluminum skid system was designed to save weight yet still provide enough protection and coverage for people that don’t tackle the most difficult rock crawling trails. The skid system starts at the lower radiator support and flows just past the transfer case.

Features:

  • Uses factory mounting points for ease of installation and serviceability.
  • Louvers allow crud to escape and be easily washed out, excess heat to flow out, and adds rigidity to the plating. They are formed in a way that doesn’t impede forward motion and aids in airflow.
  • Most of the structural integrity comes from the side that is not visible when installed. This keeps structural components from becoming snags in the roots and rocks. It also allows for maximum clearance. The skid system uses many OEM load dispersion points to protect vital drivetrain components all while making sure that the engine oil filter and oil drain plug remain easily accessible.
  • They are easy to install and remove. Part of having a good skid system is making sure that it can be removed. Even with normal cleaning and features that allow crud egress, it’s important to clean the covered areas from time to time.

The Slee SliderSteps for the LC250 / Lexus GX550 is formed out of 3/16″ steel.  The SliderStep function as a perfect step for entry to vehicle or accessing roof rack and also as a rock slider. The sliders consist of a frame mount flange, two support legs attaching the frame flange to the slider body and two additional legs. The front welded leg bolts to the frame body mount bracket. The rear bolt on leg attaches the slider to the rear of the frame.

The frame flange bolts directly to the frame utilizing existing holes in the frame. It also has three mounting fixtures welded to attach the legs. This ensures a solid mount without any compromise.

Sliders are made from High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) has nearly twice the strength and  impact resistance of general purpose mild steel (A1011 and A36). 30-36ksi Yield strength vs 50ksi yield strength minimum.

There are two aluminum tread plates attached to the top surface of the slider body. These are only available in black. Tread plates have formed features that form a non-slip surface when wet or icy. The slider body is cut with the same pattern as the tread plates to prevent dirt / ice build-up.

The sliders are finished with a textured powder coat finish and supplied with all the necessary hardware for installation.

    The is my proposed updated item description.   The compressor mount is designed to accommodate the ARB Single and Twin compressor. It can also be used as a base tray for electrical components such as DCDC chargers, fuse holders and other accessories.

    The bracket re-orientates the vehicle engine ECU and transmission ECU. The mount installs on top of the re-orientated components. The accessories are installed on the top mounting plate, then placed in the vehicle. This ensures easy access for any servicing in the future.

    The bracket kit is supplied with all necessary hardware for installation. The ARB manifold and ARB Pump Up Kit is recommended for use with the twin compressor. The manifold is used for both heat dissipation and quick connect relocation.

    The SLEE front bumper for the Land Cruiser 250 was designed to match the styling and features of the vehicle to appear as a OE product.  The bumper is constructed from 3/8″ thick plate steel mounts that attach to the vehicle frame horns both where the factory bumper and crash pad attached as well as further back on the frame. With integrated tow points this basis of the bumper provides the strength for the winch cradle as well as the whole center section of the bumper. Additional strength is obtained from the formed 7ga HSLA center section.

    High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) has nearly twice the strength and  impact resistance of general purpose mild steel (A1011 and A36). 30-36ksi Yield strength vs 50ksi yield strength minimum.

    The bolt on wings are formed out of the same 7GA material with internal gussets to ensure optimal strength. The wing design increases approach angle along with complete splash shields under the bumper wings. The wings are also designed to improve tire clearance.

    Openings on the top and front of the bumper for easy visibility of the winch drum.  The winch is also mounted to the center section that ties directly to the frame. There is also provisions to install a winch drum light. The bumper fits most low mount winches and some integrated solenoid winches. Winch installation requires a 6 pin plug extension to relocate the winch controller plug to the front of the bumper.

    The center section has provision to mount 4″ lights with specific trim rings provided for the Nacho Quattro lights. The removable upper light bar is designed to accommodate up to 4 Nacho Grande lights utilizing their proprietary tube clamp attachment. Numerous holes are provided to ease in securing wire harnesses with zip- ties for both light, park sensor and winch wiring.

    The park sensors are retained and installed using customer park sensor grommets. The OE camera (if present) is relocated to the center section. Brackets are provided to mount the cross traffic sensors (if so equipped) on the inner fender, but they will not function. No dash lights will be present. The bumper also has provision for an air coupler to be mounted on the front face.

    Sliders extend outwards to form a step for easy entry and exit out of vehicle.

    The Slee GX460 bumper was designed to offer protection and functionality, yet be esthetically pleasing when installed. The bumper shares some characteristics with our Land Cruiser 100 and 200 bumpers but offers unique features.

    The bumper is winch ready and accepts most low mount 9000lb winches but comes with solenoid mounts for the Come-Up range of winches.
    It also accepts Nacho Quattro lights (or any similarly sized light) as well as provisions in the stinger for a Baja S8, ONX6 or Rigid style light bar. The stinger also has mounting locations for winch controller plugs and air quick connects.

    All the 3/16 (7GA) material on the bumper is also manufactured from High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) has nearly twice the strength and  impact resistance of general purpose mild steel (A1011 and A36). 30-36ksi Yield strength vs 50ksi yield strength minimum.

    The bumper is also supplied with wing splash pans as well as center protection pan.

    The wings of the bumper is removable and offers two different install heights for those that want to have more clearance or adapt to body lifts.  Integrated recovery points are located in such a way that forces are directly transferred to the frame for maximum strength.

    Removable stinger with mounting for Baja Design S8 or OnX6 light bars as well as Rigid Style 20″ light bars. Slots below the light bar also offers visibility of the winch drum to aid when using the winch in recovery situations.

    Light Pockets accept Nacho Quatro or similar lights. Trim rings are supplied that match the Natcho lights but will also work for Baja lights.

    Recovery points transfer load to frame. Under winch splash pans protect the engine compartment from debris.

It has the same features as the steel skids with a weight savings of nearly 90 lbs.
